American Education Services Offers Delaware Families Their Comprehensive Student Aid Guide

Harrisburg, PA (October 23, 2008) - American Education Services (AES) announced today that the annual Delaware Guide to Student Aid is available online, at no cost to Delaware students and families, at the Delaware Higher Education Commission's website at www.doe.k12.de.us/dhec and click on “Publications”.
The Guide is a comprehensive financial aid document that outlines the financial aid process and provides in-depth information on student financial aid programs that are available to Delaware students, including the need-based Scholarship Incentive Program (ScIP), the Academic Common Market and the Student Excellence Equals Degree (SEED) Scholarship Program. The Guide offers information on financial aid options, how to determine one's financial need, how to apply for aid, including information on the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and descriptions of available programs including contact information and online resources.
“Our Student Aid Guide provides the information that families need to make more informed decisions about funding their higher education,” notes Reginald Irvis, the new Director of AES Delaware Outreach Services. “This year, the Guide was mailed to every high school in the state and is also available online at the Delaware Higher Education Commission's website so that students and parents can access the information from the convenience of their home computer.”

- Tools to help you create a student budget that estimates your expenses
